Is our member contact info kept safe and secure?

Yes. Flocknote uses advanced encryption and storage standards to make sure all data is stored safely and securely. We never use your members’ contact info for anything or give it to anyone else.

How is flocknote different from using my normal email or phone?

Flocknote makes all of the subscribing/unsubscribing, updating contact info, and organizing people into the correct group easy as pie (we really like pie). In addition, the formatting is clean and professional always, and you can get an idea of how your communications are doing with our analytics reports. It also gives your members one, simple place where they can choose and manage all communications that they want to receive from any or all of your ministries and offerings.

How is this different from email marketing tools like “Constant Contact?”

Flocknote is a slightly different kind of service than just an email marketing tool like Constant Contact or Mailchimp. We do a lot of the same things, but we also do some different things (like group text messaging, text-to-join, etc.) and we focus more on interaction (feedback, replies, polls votes, RSVPs to events, etc.). We’re more of an engagement tool. They are more of a professional marketing tool.

Is there a limit to the number of admins we can have?

Nope :) Flocknote was built as a team tool to allow everyone to work together and manage their own piece of the pie.

What if someone only gives us their email address? Or only gives us their cell phone? Will they miss out on some messages?

Good news! When you send a message from a group, all of the members of that group will receive the message, it’s just the delivery method that may vary from person to person depending on their account settings. When you send a text, those without a phone on file will receive an email instead. When you send an email, those who only have a cell phone on file will receive a text with a link to read the rest online.

Will our parish get billed for using flocknote?

Your (arch)diocese has paid for each parish to use flocknote. Your parish will have it’s own account that comes with one free text-to-join keyword that allows your parishioners to text a unique keyword from their phone to get connected with your parish (more on text-to-join here). Your parish would only be billed if you decide to purchase additional keywords ($4/month each).

Is our parish on Flocknote somehow connected with our (arch)diocese?

Yes. Your (arch)diocese will be able to send your parishioners emails and texts, but will *only* communicate important updates or things that person chooses to receive. Your parishioners can unsubscribe from any such messages at any time while continuing to receive info from your parish. They can also unsubscribe from the parish at any time.
